1) When exponents are multiplied, you add them.

(10^{3}) (10^{2}) = 10^{5}

2) When exponents are divided, you subtract them.

10 ^{3}––––– = 10 ^{5}10¯ ^{2}

3) When parenthesis are involved, as in the example, you multiply the exponents.

(10Return^{3})^{2}= 10^{6}
